The return of former St. Joseph star Brandon Morris turned out to be a positive one Tuesday night.
And by the end of his team's non-conference contest with visiting Reuther, Morris had his victory as a varsity head coach.
Andrew Alia scored a game-high 25 points to lead four Lancers in double digits, as they cruised to a 93-30 season-opening victory.
Morris, who took over the program after Jose Winston's resignation, was pleased with how things played out Tuesday.
"We were impressed with the way the team played for it being our first game," he said. "They played hard and unselfishly. That's the 'Lancer' way."
Tim Berry added 18 points, six rebounds, four steals and five assists to go with Alia's 25, followed by Caiden Leece with 14 and Matt Schulte with 11. Joey Feudner and Will Michel chipped in with eight and seven points, respectively.
Schulte also had four rebounds and four steals, while Feudner had four steals and six assists for the Lancers.
