After trading goals in the first 4 minutes of the match, host St. Joe’s went on a 10-0 run, beating visiting St. Augustine Prep 11-1 in a non-conference match.  Despite playing limited minutes, St. Joe’s senior forward Martina H tallied an astounding 6 goals and 4 assists, while sophomore Ava R added 4 goals and 2 assists. Senior Jayden H scored her first goal of the season, and junior Elise H was credited with an assist.

Coach Gino Alia:  “It was important for us to get a match in. We’ve had 3 matches in 3 weeks, when usually we have 3 each week.  So, part of tonight reflected some catharsis.  St. Augustine Prep is a young, well-coached team, but they had no answer for Marti and Ava.” 

St. Joe’s improved to 6-1, 3-0 in the MCC, and has a conference match-up at St. Thomas More Wednesday.
