St. Joe’s and Central played to a 1-1 draw in a match played at Anderson/Troha Field Friday afternoon. The Lancers scored late in the first half when freshman Nathan S put away a Peter V cross to put St. Joe’s up 1-0.  Central found the equalizer in the 48th minute.

Coach Gino Alia: “We were quite a bit sluggish offensively, playing without our normal offensive weapons.  But our defense really stepped up, and a number of our younger classmen really stayed composed in a fairly physical match.”

In addition to the players above, other leading players for the Lancers: midfielders Keegan B (So); defenders Matt S (Sr), James Z (Sr) and Giovanni B (Sr).  Goalkeeper Jack M (Jr) had 3 saves for the Lancers.
